Software I Like . . .

Some software is really good, like the following from my own experience:

□ 1.  Spartan

□ 2.  XnView

□ 3.  CoreFTP

□ 4.  Rainbow

□ 5.  Cool Timer

New Barebones Windows Operating System . . .

Why doesn't Microsoft create for many of us a "Barebones" operating system. Many computer users do not need all the items included with the Windows operating system, like for example:

1. The confusing login stuff.

2. Game Controllers, i use my computers for work and online buying, news, stuff like that.

3. Parental Controls, please get rid of!

4. Speech Recognition, please don't include!

5. Bluetooth Devices, make this something people who have need of it can download from Microsoft.

6. User Accounts, no need for this for many people.

7. Welcome Center, What's this?

8. Windows Sidebar. No need for this, make optional.

Microsoft could make a much lighter and faster operating system if they wanted to. Simplifying is something they should always keep in mind, not making software more bloated and code heavy.

Bicycle Riding at age 60

Hi,

I am 60 years old and ride my bicycle every day. I have owned and driven cars for many years and i no longer own a vehicle. I walk or ride my bike everywhere or if i have to - use public transportation or a taxi. Awhile back i needed a car to drive; so i rented one from Hertz for over a month. That worked out great and Hertz Car Rental was good to do business with. I am happy to be "car free". Nowadays there are too many negatives associated with vehicle ownership - you see many vehicles on the road and i don't see how many of the owners can afford to maintain the cost of driving a car or truck. Possibly owning a vehicle has value if it transports you to a good paying job or earns it's living by hauling a payload or paying passengers.
